Editorial policy

The standards behind everything published on QuietSaving: what we will and won't do, and how to hold us to it.

Last updated: October 2026

Independence

  • We are not paid by any company, fund, bank or broker that appears on the site.
  • There are no sponsored placements, affiliate links or paid rankings. A company or bond appears because it fits a published list or criterion, never because someone paid.
  • We run no third-party advertising trackers.

Every figure is sourced and dated

  • Market figures come from named sources, listed on our data sources page.
  • Each figure shows the date it applies to. Figures copied by hand say so.
  • We never fill a gap with an estimate or an invented number. Missing data is shown as missing.
  • An automatic update can only replace a figure with a newer one, and a figure that moved implausibly far is held back rather than published.

Scores are rules, not opinions

Health scores, risk levels and consensus labels are produced by fixed rules that we publish in full in our methodology. The same rule applies to every company and every bond. They describe the data; they are not recommendations.

Guides and explanations

Our guides explain how saving, investing and financial independence work, in plain language. They show the date they were last updated. They teach concepts; they do not tell any reader what to do with their own money.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, email contact@quietsaving.com with the page and what you believe is wrong. We check every report against the original source, fix confirmed errors, and update the page’s date.
